A Lintek® wall is a
complete prefabricated unit that, together with
a window unit, will create total enclosure of
the external building. The wall units are traditionally
in straight panels but curves can be readily accommodated.
Lintek® composite wall also provides
external and internal finish contained by an aluminium
core space frame.
Lintek® comprises an Alpolic®
fire rated panel external skin. Insulation of
the wall is achieved by fiberglass, air space
and plasterboard. The structural space frame is
constructed in aluminium sections fully welded.
What are the advantages of Lintek® Wall
System?
- Quick
close in of the building structural frame.
- All installation
from inside of the building.
- Factory
fabricated in controlled conditions

How does this help me, the
Builder?
A typical high rise building comprising columns
and slabs is used as an example.
After the slabs are poured, we take site measurements
and fabricate the complete wall in our workshop
(plasterboard left loose).
Linton Pacific coordinate the window installation
which can be part of our package.
When the formwork is struck we deliver wall panels
and windows to site.
Linton Pacific required cranage to lift to the
loading dock only.
Our mobile crane, lightweight and running at floor
level, lifts the panels into place. Windows are
installed simultaneously.
Panels and windows are bolted off, sealed for
water, vermin and sound transmission.

Installation Time?
The floor will be ready for internal and finishing
trade, typically two weeks from formwork strike.
If the builder is striking one floor per week,
a second team would be engaged to work the next
floor.
Net result - one floor per week of sealed building
ready for the finishing trades.
What are the cost savings for the builder or
developer?
- Rapid, reliable, close in due
to factory fabrication.
- Main contractor's establishment
and management costs are reduced by approximately
10% as a result of rapid, reliable, close in,
improved trade continuity and savings in site,
plant and management costs.
- No scaffolding, built from
inside the building.
- Minimum screens and barriers,
short exposure to unguarded floor edge.
- Easily managed safety issues,
lightweight walls and material.
- Minimum use of tower crane
and docks, our own "on floor" crane.
- Light weight wall, allows smaller
foundations, columns and beams with formwork,
concrete and reinforcement.
- Engineering analysis predicts
savings in concrete volume of 8% to 10% and
savings in reinforcing steel of 11% to 23%.
- Lintek® hollow wall
system can be used as air ducts, for example
bathroom exhausts.
- One company responsible for
the total façade integrity.
Advantages for the Building
Owner?
- A superior Alpolic®
façade with fire rated core which meets
fire code requirements because of its non-combustible
mineral filled core.
- Alpolic® is the
ideal choice as a cladding material due to its
superior flatness and excellent surface colour
uniformity.
- Minimum maintenance due to
the unique Lumiflon based fluorocarbon coating
of Alpolic® practically self cleaning.
- Sound insulation value >
Rw55, Thermal R2.83
- Reduced building construction
costs.
- Increase in usable floor space
of approximately 1% compared to conventional
construction, equivalent to 100mm around perimeter.
- Shorter construction period,
building is up and earning quicker.

System Performance
Wind Loading AS 1170.2
The Lintek® wall units are designed
to accommodate local factors. This loading is unique
to a building and to various zones at the building.
The structure of each wall unit is specified to
ensure compliance without over specification.
Acoustic & Thermal Performance
Values have been determined from
design parameters, laboratory testing and testing
as installed on site.
